Cynthia Szeker, CPC
About
Cynthia Szeker, CPC, has over 20 years of experience as a technical expert in health information coding matters in various settings, including hospitals, physician offices, group practices, multi-specialty clinics, and specialty centers. Ms. Szeker provides advice and guidance on documentation and coding guidelines. She is experienced in performing documentation audits, developing criteria, collecting data, graphing and analyzing results, creating reports, and communicating in writing and/or in-person to leadership. In addition, she provides training and education to coding and clinical staff and researches complex coding issues, taking part in process improvements related to coding and documentation.
Ms. Szeker is the Past President of the Richmond Chapter of AAPC, a former Certified PMCC instructor, and taught documentation and coding guidelines to the Residents at VCU School of Medicine as well as staff physicians at UVA.
