Paul Weintraub is a senior vice president at Coker. Mr. Weintraub brings over 25 years of experience leading and delivering transformational change to healthcare organizations across the country. He co-leads the organization’s integrated solutions practice. With a strong strategic and operational consulting background, Mr. Weintraub has partnered with some of the largest health systems in the country to lead and implement performance improvement programs that deliver significant financial gains, while underpinning those efforts with the appropriate technology, processes and infrastructure to sustain change over time.
Previous to joining Coker, Mr. Weintraub served as Vice President at Premier, Inc., where he co-led their Healthcare Performance Improvement practice with a focus on delivering clinically focused transformational change.
Mr. Weintraub is widely respected for his ability to develop high-performing consulting teams that deliver unmatched results across the healthcare landscape. His work spans all aspects of non-labor cost reduction with a deep focus on delivering clinical outcomes and operational improvement through the reduction of unnecessary variation of care.
Experience
- Led the Post-Merger cost reduction efforts for a $35B Health System, resulting in over $500M in run-rate savings, covering Supply Chain, Purchased Services, Pharmacy, Lab, IT, Facilities/Real Estate, and Capital teams.
- Led the creation of an integrated operating model across academic and community hospitals with the appropriate levels of centralization versus decentralized control, leading to synergies over $165M in client agreed-upon savings.
- Led the physical and operational redesigns of Perioperative, Cath / EP, ED, Radiology, and Oncology, at multiple hospitals across the country, helping to streamline operations, reduce costs and improve patient satisfaction. Attaining two design awards associated with Cardiac Cath / EP and Infusion Clinics.
- Led the redesign of one of the largest lab testing organizations in the US, leading to $21+ MM in margin creation and significant TAT reduction overall.
